FFC Dark Horses - Week 7
Rams vs Jaguars
TUTU ATWELL
The Rams are without Puka Nacua and Jordan Whittington is expected to see more snaps as a result. I expect the pass game to run through Davante Adams but watch for the deep shot, a vulnerability of the Jags pass defense ranking 8th most favorable to WRs this season.
Raiders at Chiefs
ISIAH PACHECO
The Chiefs offense is back to full strength & while all eyes are on the return of Rashee Rice and the heat index of Patrick Mahomes, I expect Pacheco to score his first rushing TD of the season & log his best fantasy game of the year.
Dolphins at Browns
HAROLD FANNIN
The Dolphins are suspect in the slot where Fannin plays more like a slot receiver than traditional TE. Dolphins have given up 3 tight end touchdowns since week 3. In the 2 games where the tight end didn’t score, the starting TEs had 12 catches and 133 yards combined. Without David Njoku, Fannin has top 5 fantasy finish upside this week.
Patriots at Titans
TREVEYON HENDERSON
The breakout is finally here! The Titans are the 3rd most favorable against opposing running backs. Rhamondre Stevenson continues to start but the Pats want to rotate the runners. Until last week, the ‘second man up’ RB had over 70+ yards or a TD in every game. The stars align for Henderson to have a fantasy worthy performance.
Panthers at Jets
JA’TAVION SANDERS & MASON TAYLOR
I wanted to put Jalen Coker on this list but it’s his first game of the year and the Jets have been surprisingly stingy against wide receivers. On the other hand, they’ve given up 5 tight end touchdowns in the last 3 games. The last full game Sanders played was week 2 where he had 7 catches for 54 yards on 9 targets.
Speaking of tight ends, with Garrett Wilson sidelined, there’s no one else for Justin Fields to throw to except his rookie TE, who faces a Panthers team that ranks as the second most favorable defense against opposing tight ends. Taylor will see double digit targets on Sunday.
Saints at Bears
KENDRE MILLER
The Chicago defense has struggled against the run this season and primarily through the middle of the line. Alvin Kamara is the starter but the touch split between Kamara and Miller has been 60/40 the last 3 weeks. Miller could see his highest usage to date and based on the matchup his most productive week of the season.
Eagles at Vikings
JALEN NAILOR
On the surface, Eagles are vulnerable to the run and weaker vs the pass. But inside the numbers says the Eagles struggled against the run when Jalen Carter missed games and he’s expected back. Passing has been tough for Eagles opponents but find more success when throwing to secondary receivers away from Quinton Mitchell. Nailor is my long shot producer Sunday.
Colts at Chargers
ORONDE GADSDEN
The rookie exploded last week finishing second in team targets behind Ladd McConkey. The Colts have shown a lot of vulnerability to wide receivers and while Gadsden is listed as a tight end, he’s more of a pass catcher than blocker. Colts have been RB stingy, giving up just 1 rushing score since week 3. Expect goal to go passing for TDs and we should see Gadsden’s first NFL touchdown Sunday.
Giants at Broncos
EVAN ENGRAM
Since getting back to full health, Engram has seen plenty of targets, ranking second on the team behind Courtland Sutton. Engram is back in New York where he started his career in what could be called a “revenge game” for Engram. The Giants have shown vulnerability underneath, giving up a monster game (9 catches, 110 yards, 1 touchdown) to Dallas Goedert last week. Engram breakout game on tap.
Packers at Cardinals
ROMEO DOUBS
It’s hard to predict who will be flavor of the week in the passing game for Jordan Love and the Packers. Tucker Kraft has been phenomenal and should again in this game. On paper, the Cardinals have been solid against opposing wide receivers but have shown more vulnerable to bigger outside receivers like Doubs.
Commanders at Cowboys
JAYLIN LANE
The Commanders wide receiver room looks more like an infirmary than a quality group. Lucky for them they have Jayden Daniels and face a Cowboys defense that ranks dead last against opposing wide receivers. Add that Dallas will be without Trevon Diggs and the stars align for the rookie to have his biggest receiving game yet.
Falcons at 49ers
TYLER ALLGEIER
Don’t look now, but Allgeier has double digit fantasy points in 3 of his last 4 games. While this is clearly Bijan Robinson’s backfield, Allgeier still gets a solid amount of work. The 49ers are banged up and the loss of star linebacker Fred Warner isn’t helping their front seven contain the run. Allgeier’s effectiveness has been great, especially in the redzone.
Buccaneers at Lions
TEZ JOHNSON
Another wide receiver room that is depleted, Johnson will see plenty of action on Monday night. He’s a smaller receiver but plenty of speed and receiver speed has been a weakness for the Lions secondary. No QB has been hotter than Baker Mayfield and I expect him to find Tez for another end zone score.
Texans at Seahawks
JAYDEN HIGGINS
There’s something to the post bye week rookie breakout. The Texans need more spark in their offense and doubt it comes from the run game against Seattle who haven’t given up more than 48 yards on the ground to a single RB since week 1, when they gave up just 69 to Christian McCaffrey. Nico Collins is the true leader of the Texans pass attack but Higgins has gotten more snaps as the weeks have gone on, getting his highest snap share, targets, catches and yards in his last game before the bye. Breakout game on tap for the 34th overall pick in the 2025 draft.
