Dark Horses - Week 10

Falcons at Colts

Darnell Mooney. Colts secondary has been suspect this year. Sure, the addition of Sauce Gardner is a big one but he will have all his attention on Drake London. Should open up passing lanes for Mooney with a chance to have his best reception day of the season.

Browns at Jets

Cedric Tillman. Fresh off IR, Tillman enters a weak WR rom in Cleveland. He plays a high percentage of slot snaps which is where Dillon Gabriel has spent most of his attention for passes. Jets defense traded away key players last week which bodes well for Tillman’s chances.

Bills at Dolphins

Ray Davis. James Cook is the starter and key weapon for the Bills offense. But even with Cook playing, Davis could have a bigger role this week. Cook is nursing an ankle injury and Dolphins are not a good team. The Bills should be able to win comfortably which means Davis could end up a 4th quarter fantasy hero.

Jaguars at Texans

Davis Mills. The Jaguars have been the 3rd most favorable defense for opposing QBs this season, giving up a whopping 9 passing TDs in the last 2 weeks alone. Mills is an efficient game managing signal caller but the matchup lends itself to a potentially strong fantasy day.

Patriots at Buccaneers

Tez Johnson. Baker has been terrific this season with his dud before the bye notwithstanding. Coming off the bye, Bucs are still depleted at receiver. The Pats are run stingy which means Tampa will lean heavy on Baker for production. That means a lot of targets for Tez.

Giants at Bears

Devin Singletary. Tyrone Tracy is the projected starter but Singletary joins him in an even time share with Skattebo done for the year. Last week Singletary was the more efficient runner. This week he gets the Bears defense that is giving up over 130 yards to RBs this season.

Ravens at Vikings

Isaiah Likely. The Vikings defense is pretty stingy but shown vulnerability to the tight end position, giving up 5 TDs over the last 6 games to TEs. While Mark Andrews is the starter, Likely gets his fair share of snaps in the offense.  Sunday could be his 1st score of the year.

Saints at Panthers

Jalen Coker.   A few weeks removed from injury, Coker is in position to lead the team in targets on Sunday with TMac possibly missing the game. The Panthers offense has been all about Rico Dowdle who has been on a tear. But he won’t be the entire offense and Coker offers intriguing upside based on the matchup.

Lions at Commanders

Marcus Mariota - The Commanders are a mess, expected to be missing 3 of their top 4 pass catchers. I expect the Lions, who likely circled this game at schedule release after their shocking exit in the playoffs last year, to win comfortably. However, Mariota is a dual threat QB and his skillset could end up with garbage time numbers for a solid day for fantasy purposes.

Cardinals at Seahawks

AJ Barner. He’s been on a scoring heater this season with 5 on the year, including one the last meeting between these two teams earlier this year. Seattle is devoid of able pass catchers with Cooper Kupp hobbled and Tory Horton now expected to miss the game. Barner should be a top option behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Rams at 49ers

Demarcus Robinson. The Rams are the #1 defense against opposing defenses which means even with CMC the Niners will look to the air for success just like they did earlier this year when they knocked off the Rams in OT behind Mac Jones 342 passing yards. DRob had just 3 catches for 39 yards in his 1st shot at former team revenge game. Perhaps 2nd time is the charm.

Steelers at Chargers

Tre Harris.  A bottom of the well dark horse, Harris is 5th in line for targets behind Allen, Johnston, McConkey & Gadsden. But the matchup is favorable as the Steelers have given up over 340 passing yards in 4 of the last 5 games. Harris has only gotten a handful of targets a game this season but could have a bigger contribution this week.

Eagles at Packers

Luke Musgrave. The Packers lost Tucker Kraft for the season and Musgrave is next man up.  He’s not the same dominant pass catcher that Kraft is and the Eagles are one of the most stingy defenses for opposing tight ends. But Jordan Love favors the TE which means Musgrave should see a nice target share on Monday night.
