TD Dependent Players?

Are these players touchdown dependent?

TDs are the most important stat for fantasy. But they are also one of the less predictive fantasy scoring stats. While you will want a player that scores a lot of TDs, relying on a player’s production solely on the idea they will score TDs could make them less reliable week to week as they need a TD to be fantasy relevant.

As we head into 2026, some players may have an inflated value based on last year’s scoring because a big part of their production was TDs. Here’s a list of players with a high percentage of fantasy points based on touchdowns during the 2025 season

Davante Adams

Last year Adams had 14 TDs which accounted for a whopping 43.5% of his total fantasy points. He finished as WR8 on the season. Adams currently goes as WR24 which seems about right. However he’s also going in the top 50. Unless you are confident he will be a TD monster again, it might be better to look elsewhere in the 5th round

Tee Higgins

Finishing as WR12, Higgins had 11 TDs that accounted for 36% of his fantasy points. He is going as WR16 as a 3rd round pick which presumes a high TD rate again. Health will be key for Higgy, both his own and QB Joe Burrow.

Jayden Higgins

The rookie finished with 41 catches 525 yards & 6 TDs. While the TDs accounted for 1/3 of his points I think this reflects his knack for scoring as opposed to his reliance. He finished as WR41 and currently WR49 entering year 2. If he has even a slight improvement to last year, will be a value as a potential flex WR in 2026

RJ Harvey

896 total yards & 12 TDs en route to a RB21 finish as a rookie last year. TDs accounted for 39% of his total fantasy points & efficiency as a runner (3.7 ypc) was modest at best. Denver brought back JKD & drafted Jonah Coleman in the 4th rd. Harvey is ranked RB35 this year for good reason. I don’t see his TD production sustaining. Avoid

Josh Jacobs

TDs are high (39%) percent of output, but Jacobs has been a top TD scorer his whole career. Had double digit TDs in 3 of last 4 years. Offseason issues could lead to regular season concerns but no concern over him as a player. Was RB12 in 2025 & going RB15 this year. Unless you fear suspension he’s a solid choice in the 4th round

Cam Skattebo

In 8 games Cam had 617 yds & 7 TDs (36%) for a full szn pace of 1311 yds & 15 TDs. Season was cut short by a serious leg injury. He’s a battering ram that should continue to see goal line work. If you believe in the Giants offense & his health, he’s a good bet at RB19. I believe in his TD making skill. The offense & his health are real risks

Tucker Kraft

He played just 8 games but was producing elite stats. 486 yards, 6 TDs (35.6%) & 4 rec per game on a TE2 season long pace. He is coming off an ACL injury but expected to be ready week 1. He’s going in the 6th/7th round as TE5 which is a fine value considering the upside. Kraft should remain a top red zone target for Jordan Love
