QBs
Marcus Mariota vs IND
Jayden Daniels will miss a second game which means Mariota will lead the Commanders against the Colts in London. He was impressive in the Washington win over Seattle last week with his 3 touchdown performance agree a modest 183 pass yards. What is promising for Mariota this week is he is facing a Colts team that is the 5th most favorable defense for opposing quarterbacks.
Jalon Daniels at GB
Baker Mayfield is out so the reeling Bucs turn to the undrafted free agent out of Kansas. One thing I noticed about Daniels during my evaluation was his confidence. He’s not an elite talent but solid arm and mobility. He gets a struggling Packers team at home so with little known about Daniels as a pro he has a chance to surprise. I get he’s a long shot which is why he is on the dark horse list.
RBs
Jaylen Wright at MIN
You hate to see stars go down for the season but here we are without Devon Achane for the rest of the 2026 season. All eyes (and waiver FAAB money) were on Ollie Gordon who finish the game last week in place of Achane. He finished with 20 touches, 44 yards and a TD. Wright however missed the game. He’s back for this week & currently sits atop the Miami depth chart. The Vikings are stingy, ranking 4th against opposing RBs but Wright’s potential as a receiver out of the backfield could prove useful.
Isaiah Davis vs CHI
Another star down in Breece Hall but fortunately not long term. In the mean time, Braelon Allen is next man up. Davis has yet to log an offensive snap this year but historically when Hall misses time it is a combo of Allen & Davis. Allen isn’t suited for a feature back role like Hall so Davis is expected to see action especially in passing situations…which could be plenty on Sunday.
Kendre Miller vs ATL
A theme with the running backs this week, another starter down. With Etienne, out we will see more of both Miller and Kamara. The matchup isn’t great as the Falcons are one of the better run stopping defenses, ranking 3rd against opposing RBs. But Miller will get his chances especially around the goal line. It’s never been Miller’s talent but availability that is a question. He’s available now.
WRs & TEs
Mack Hollins at BUF
The Patriots offense has been a mess and Drake Maye looks like a shell of his near MVP season a year ago. At some point I expect the Pats pass game to get on track. This week they need it facing the undefeated Bills on the road. As good as the Bills offense has been their defense is suspect, ranking 5th worst against wide receivers. With AJ Brown out, Hollins has emerged as a top option for Maye. Last week Hollins had 6 catches for 87 yards against a far more difficult defense.
Kenyon Sadiq at CHI
The Jets eased Sadiq into action to start the season but his usage accelerated when fellow tight end Mason Taylor and Adonai Mitchell missed last week. Sadiq broke out with 7 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown. Taylor and AD are out again this week. Sadiq is primed for an encore performance.
Tre Harris at SEA
As of this writing, Ladd McConkey’s status is still up in the air for week 4 and Quentin Johnston still has issues dropping passes that hit him in the hands. Last week, Harris led all Charger receivers in targets, receptions and yards. The matchup isn’t a good one but if Harris remains the top target for Herbert he could end up a solid fantasy play.
